COMMITTEE ON RACE IN THE AMERICAN WEST

MISSION

The Committee on Race in the American West was founded to increase the presence and participation of scholars of color as well as the presence of scholarship on race in the WHA. We are a forum within the WHA for members to raise all equity concerns, including issues involving race, ethnicity, indigeneity, ability, class, culture, gender, sexual orientation, and status. It is our goal to make the WHA a welcoming environment for all of its members and an organization that embraces many historical perspectives on the history of the North American West.
