Why Advertise/Exhibit at the WHA?

  • Affordable! The WHA offers some of the lowest rates for advertising and exhibiting at professional meetings and is free of hidden costs.
  • Coffee! The WHA schedules complimentary coffee breaks in the exhibits ballroom on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday mornings. 
  • Receptions! The WHA intentionally schedules large receptions in the exhibits hall on Thursday and Friday, which is a perfect way to network with conference attendees and hold meetings with potential authors. 
  • Friendly! The WHA prides itself in offering the profession with one of the most friendly, inclusive, and diverse gatherings for the study of history in the country!



SPONSORSHIPS

Every year the WHA Annual Conference provides attendees with a wide variety of options to learn about the North American West. By promoting the study of the west through the lens of a "big tent," the organization prides itself in offering the profession with one of the most friendly, inclusive, and diverse history meetings. Estimated expenses for the annual conference include fees to cover special events, materials, printing, tote bags, water stations, shipping, technology, student sponsorship, staff, and receptions.



    BEST PRACTICES AND MARKETING

    ADVERTISEMENTS

    All advertising orders are final. Full payments are due upon reservation. If you request an invoice, payment is due 30 days after you receive the invoice. All artwork is due May 1 for guaranteed placement in the WHA printed program. Ad space is limited and requests will be made in the order they are received.


    CANCELLATION POLICY

    • No refunds will be issued on sponsorship commitments
    • No refunds will be issued on advertisement reservations
    • Any requests to cancel exhibit space after June 1, 2024, will not be refunded.


    EXHIBITORS

    All exhibitors at booths are required toregister online for the conference even though it is complimentary. All conference attendees, including exhibitors, must adhere to the WHA Code of Conduct. Exhibitors who plan to hold author signings must alert the WHA ahead of time. Authors signing books must be conference registrants. It is the responsibility of exhibitors to contact SS&G to rent their booth furniture.


    UNAUTHORIZED BOOTH SHARING

    • Each Exhibiting Press must reserve and pay for booth space.
    • No exhibitors under any circumstances will be allowed to share booth space.
    • Additional penalties may be applied. Please report any violations you observe to show
    • management.
